Founded in 1988, china national seed trade association (cnsta) is a national industry non-profit social organization in china's agricultural seed industry with legal personality approved by the ministry of civil affairs, located in you'an international building, fengtai district, beijing. the association implements a unit membership system, and its members include seed enterprises and social organizations, and they need to pay their dues on time and abide by the articles of association. the association joined the international seed federation (isf) in 1995 and the asia pacific seed association (apsa) in 2003 and has a permanent seat on the isf council. its business scope includes organizing domestic and foreign seed industry exhibitions, publicizing laws and policies, carrying out technical training, coordinating industry management and promoting international cooperation. the association participates in hosting international exhibitions such as the beijing seed industry conference, and is entrusted by the ministry of agriculture and rural affairs to organize a symposium on seed import and export enterprises. as a bridge between the government and the seed industry, the association promotes the international development of the seed industry through policy discussions and industry report submissions.
